### Can I customise the architecture of a virtual machine?

Yes. You can configure the vCPU, RAM, storage and bandwidth independently to tailor each instance to the workload it will be handling.

### What happens when I park a VM?

The service is paused and billing is suspended; you keep the disc and the settings so you can reactivate it when you need to.

### Can a range instance be changed after it has been created?

Yes, you can switch between product ranges (general-purpose, High Speed Gen2, dedicated CPU, etc.) via the control panel without having to recreate the machine.

### How are networks connected between different projects?

You can share specific networks across management projects, whilst keeping the rest of the resources isolated by project.

### What level of control do IAM roles offer?

You can set granular permissions by user or device: who can view, operate or modify each environment, network or service.

### How does shared storage between instances work?

The NFSaaS service connects a network volume to multiple instances on a pay-as-you-go basis, without the need to manage a dedicated file server.

### What is the difference between a backup and a basic VM copy?

The backup solution manages backups at application, database and file level, using low-cost cold repositories and WORM buckets to ensure immutability – not just a disk snapshot.

### What does it mean for GPUs to use PCI Passthrough?

The GPU is connected directly to the instance without an intermediate virtualisation layer, delivering the same performance as native access to the hardware.
